The company has over 50 subsidiaries around the world, including KeyMed (Medical & Industrial Equipment) Ltd, in the UK. Olympus KeyMed in Southend was formed in 1970 and now employs close to 1,000 people at its purpose-built headquarters in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, Ireland and Plymouth. In addition to its responsibilities for distribution and service of the Olympus range of medical endoscopic equipment in the UK, Ireland, the Middle East & Africa, it develops and manufactures industrial and medical products that integrate with those from other Olympus manufacturing sites. |
