Aloka ProSound Alpha 10

The new ProSound Alpha 10 heralds the next generation of diagnostic ultrasound system from Aloka.

At the heart of the system is Aloka’s new Compound Pulse Wave Generator providing complete control of the transducer crystal movement from the beginning to the end of each pulse cycle. This provides the ability to program the transmission waveform shape as precisely as drawing a curve.

The result is control of both the frequency and amplitude of the waveform, enabling the transmission of desired signal components only. As a result superior contrast and spatial resolution are achieved across applications.

Features:

  • Compound Pulse Wave Generator providing optimum contrast and spatial resolution, enhancing diagnostic confidence
  • Directional eFlow - a new Doppler based technique using programmable waveform shaping with a short ulrasound pulse duration enabling improved spatial and temporal resolution whilst still achieving narrow bandwidth transmission.  The result is significantly increased sensitivity to flow at low velocities and in small vessels
  • Broadband Harmonic Imaging providing an unprecedented level of detail and penetration in harmonic imaging made possible by the use of a Compound Impulse Waveform* during transmission
  • Adaptive Image Processing (AIP) a unique tool that enhances display of different tissue types and emphasises tissue boundaries whilst maintaining the frame rate
  • Spatial Compound Scanning for improved depiction of sidewall structures of tubular cavities and a reduction in image speckle achieved by combining a series of frames acquired whilst steering the ultrasound beam in multiple directions
  • Dedicated software and hardware architecture for 3D/4D imaging.  Operating in conjunction with HST+ Volume Mode probes, the RT-3D function balances high volume rates with high-resolution 3D imaging
  • A comprehensive array of 3D imaging modes and processing tools including Multi Slice Imaging, Flow 3D, Inversion Mode and Automated Volume Measurements
  • Compound Array linear transducer composed of multiple layers of arrays enabling electronic focusing in the elevation direction.  The result is uniform focusing precision and homogenous greyscale in both the near and far-fields
  • Real-Time Free Angular M-Mode: up to three omnidirectional simultaneous M-mode lines can be displayed
  • Extended Field of View option
  • Trapezoidal Imaging
  • Integrated image storage including large capacity Hard Disc Drive, Floppy Disk, MO Disk and CD-R plus DICOM 3.0 capability
  • Ergonomic console design including adjustable positioning of the control panel/monitor in three dimensions
