ECR Endoscopic CO₂ Regulator
The use of CO₂ during colonoscopy has long been acknowledged as increasing patient tolerance of the procedure, in addition to eliminating the risk of any incidents relating to the mixture of diathermy and potentially explosive colonic gas.

The Olympus ECR is designed to provide safe, reliable CO₂ insufflation during colonoscopic procedures, in an easy-to-use unit, controlled by a single ’on/off’ control.

The ECR attaches to the endoscope supply tube by means of a ’quick lock’ connector, and a flow indicator provides visual confirmation that CO₂ is being delivered.

 

Gas cylinder status is monitored by means of a bottle contents gauge on the front panel, and a warning indicator shows red should the outlet pressure exceed a pre-set limit.
