Olympus offers a choice of single-use or reusable biopsy forceps, to suit individual user preference, all designed for maximum performance with compatible Olympus flexible bronchoscopes, including models from the latest EndoJaw and SwingJaw ranges.

EndoJaw forceps feature a low-friction sheath to assist smooth insertion through the instrument channel.  Improved sheath flexibility also makes it easier to pass the forceps through a scope with acute angulation.  These features, combined with precision-made stainless steel cups, maximise clinical effectiveness while minimising the potential for endoscope damage.
Reliable tissue collection The EndoJaw has a patent pending ’step’ cup designed to provide clean tissue collection from a single use forceps.  The alligator jaw with ’step’ is designed to combine the grip of an alligator forceps with the clean cut of a traditional forceps. In addition, the forceps cups pivot to allow easier access to the tissue site from an oblique angle.

EndoJaw forceps for the respiratory tract are compatible with 2.0mm channel sizes and above.  Four jaw types are available – Standard oval; Standard oval with needle; Alligator jaw-step; and Alligator jaw-step with needle.

Olympus Reusable Biopsy Forceps
In addition to the single-use option provided by the EndoJaw bronchoscopy forceps, Olympus offers a complete line-up of reusable biopsy forceps with a variety of jaw types and channel sizes, including one model from the innovative Olympus Swigjaw range.  Constructed of easy-to-clean materials, these instruments can be reprocessed by ultrasonic cleaning and autoclave sterilization.

	FB-56D Featuring a rat tooth jaw, this model provides precision and reliability for tissue collection through 1.2mm channels.		FB-52C SwingJaw The Olympus SwingJaw design allows easier cup positioning for tangential biopsy, and the alligator serrations with interlocking rat teeth at the tip provide for deep biopsies.  Suitable for channels of 2.0mm and above.
	FB-19C/CR With standard shape fenestrated jaws, these forceps permit larger tissue samples whilst minimising tissue damage.  The FB-19CR model allows rotation of the cups to allow more accurate targeting.  Suitable for channels of 2.0mm and above.		FB-34C This model has standard fenetrated jaws with a needle to help prevent slippage and facilitate tangential biopsy.  Suitable for channels of 2.0mm and above.
	FB-21C The ellipsoid fenestrated jaws of this model provide larger samples.  Suitable for channels of 2.0mm and above.		FB-15C The serrated edges of the alligator jaws of these forceps help prevent slippage and allow collection of hard or encrusted tissue.  Suitable for channels of 2.0mm and above.
	FB-20C The same standard fenestrated jaw type as the FB-19C, but designed for use with channels of 2.6mm and above.		FB-22C/CR The needle helps prevent slippage, while the elongated jaws provide larger samples.  The FB-22CR model allows cup rotation for more accurate positioning.  For use with channels of 2.6mm and above.
	FB-35C The same standard fenestrated jaw type as the FB-19C/20C, but designed for use with channels of 3.2mm.		FB-24K/KR The same jaw type as the FB-22C/CR, with the same rotatable cups option, but designed for use with channels of 3.2mm.
	FB-11K One cup opens at 90o to allow biopsy close to a stricture or a wall, where there is insufficient space for two cups to open.  For use with 3.2mm channels.
